Today is the start of practicum 1B. Students will be beginning their 4 week placement. They are focusing in on two different teaching standards - Te tiriti o Waitangi and Design for Learning. Kaiako pitomata have set two new professional goals and will be guided by the strategies and action steps they have developed. Please take time to discuss these goals with your kaiako pitomata and support them to develop their practice in relation to these.
Appraisals will take place May 15-26. Your appraiser will be in touch in the next week or so. The appraisal will be a face to face observation and you will negotiate a time with your appraiser. If there are any concerns about the progress your kaiako pitomata is making please use this opportunity to discuss these concerns with your visiting appraiser.
