Kia ora and welcome to all new and returning kaiako hāpai (associate teachers) for 2024. We are so pleased to be partnering with you again this year. We are excited about how prepared our kaiako pitomata are this year for their first practicum placement. We have adjusted our programme timetable to provide more time to front load curriculum & pedagogy modules. They have also had 6 carefully scaffolded and supported microteaching sessions in schools (2 math, 2 literacy and 2 science). We believe that all kaiako pitomata have been adequately prepared to engage in a rich practicum placement in your school.
