Kia ora and welcome to the final week of practicum 1A. This week we hope to see our kaiako pitomata make the most of the opportunities to lead the learning in and out of the classroom. We encourage them to be taking full responsibility when they can (if they can manage a whole day or two would be fantastic). They are getting 'match fit' for teaching through planning, assessing and identifying next steps in learning with your support. Kaiako pitomata are expected to take part in all school 'goings on' so if there are parent teacher interviews, sports days, school duties etc.. we encourage them to participate where ever possible. It would also be useful to share any assessment tools you may use at your kura. Due to the timings of practicum on the calendar they may not get to see it in action. Your online appraisals should be taking place this week (if not already). This is a chance to discuss the strengths and next steps. If you have any concerns at all please discuss this at the meeting.
